A Message from Chief Deputy Owens

​

​I am Chris Owens. I serve as the Sheriff's Chief Deputy. I have served in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman, Deputy with the Martin County Sheriff's Office, and retired as a First Sergeant from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

My goal is to help provide the

Sheriff's Office personnel with 

updated equipment, training, and

policies to help them provide quality

services to the citizens of

Lenoir County. I strive to help

officers make sound decisions

based on training and know they

are supported in making

those decisions.

I believe Officers should be trustworthy, professional, and fair when dealing with the public while keeping officer safety a priority.
