The Lenoir County Sheriff's Office continues to seek professional and qualified applicants in to represent our office, the Sheriff and the citizens of Lenoir County.  The 128 deputies and detention officers of the LCSO are not only co-workers, but are a family.   Our employees serve in numerous roles including:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

​

     Citizen of the United States                                         21 years of age
     Possess a NC Driver's License                                    High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
     Must be of Good Moral Character                              Responsible Financial History
     Pass a Drug Screen, Medical Exam and Psychological Evaluation       
     Pass the Computerized Voice Stress Analysis (CVSA)
     Have not been convicted or committed any crimes as specified in 12 NCAC 09B.0111.
    
     Deputies must reside within 50 miles of Lenoir County border. 
     Detention Officers are exempt from this requirement.
     BLET certification is preferred for deputy.
